WHY PAWWATCH IS DIFFERENT
Convictions and allegations are not the same thing.
The PawWatch Registry is reserved for verified animal-cruelty and animal-abuse conviction records supported by reliable public sources.
Arrests, charges, investigations, pending proceedings, dismissals, acquittals, and other developing cases are maintained separately through Case Watch and clearly identified by their current status.
A submission to PawWatch never becomes a Registry conviction record simply because someone submits a name.
PawWatch does not determine guilt. We document what reliable public sources establish.
The PawWatch Registry standard
Accountability must be accurate.
A public registry is powerful. Every profile must be traceable to an official public record. Photographs appear only when an official government source publishes the conviction-related image and lawful republication has been confirmed.
Verify
Identity, disposition, offense, source, and any image rights are checked.
Publish
A limited profile is posted with its official source.
Maintain
Corrections, appeals, removals, and record changes are reviewed.
